We are always searching for the very highest calibre of people to join our team and be involved in the cutting edge of innovating the construction industry.
Driven people that enjoy challenging themselves will naturally have high career aspirations and we are committed to supporting your development as a professional and achieving your full potential.
Our company is a close team, drawing a diverse set of skills together into one fully integrated design approach. Staff wellbeing and nurturing a culture of openness and collaboration is fundamental to our philosophy as a company and our approach to solving design challenges.
Recognising the need and importance for investing in our future generations, Bryden Wood in coordination with the UK Government’s National Apprenticeship Service, runs an advance scheme in Digital Delivery. Focused on providing young people with the opportunity to gain high quality of work experience whilst studying, we offer a dynamic working environment for gaining recognised professional qualifications. Private health insurance
We have teamed up with Vitality Health, a 5-star health insurance that rewards you for being healthy while providing access to the best possible medical care treatments and therapies. The scheme also provides huge discounts on an extensive range of fitness related items such as gym memberships, running shoes, fitness trackers and bikes.
Fruit provided throughout the office
Healthy eating is important, and we therefore provide fruit daily throughout the office.
Sports teams including basketball, football and softball
We have an active office culture and we have teams in a number of sports that compete with surrounding offices in local tournaments.
Lunchtime running club
Staying active throughout the day helps increase focus and reduces stress, therefore (and weather permitting) a running club heads out at lunchtimes to explore the surrounding pavements.
Cycle to work scheme
Promoting healthier journeys to work and reducing environmental pollution, this scheme allows employees to invest in bicycles and safety equipment as a tax-free benefit.
Weekly office meditation and yoga
Taking time to yourself and getting some headspace has been proven to reduce stress and give us perspective over challenging situations. Within the office we organise weekly meditation and yoga sessions which are tailored to calm down a busy mind and alleviate the aches and pains of desk-bound work.
Active health and fitness culture
Having an active lifestyle helps to keep us happy and healthy, therefore Bryden Wood support a number of fitness initiatives including private health insurance, sports teams (basketball, football, softball…), regular running clubs, healthy eating and a cycle to work scheme.
Active social culture
Socialising with the people you work with is an important part of having a healthy work life, at Bryden Wood we organise a number of events throughout the year including four seasonal office outings and encouraging weekly meetups and walks to local points of interest.
Chartership/professional development support (including institutions such as RIBA, IStructE, ICE, CIBSE)
Whichever institution you are aiming for, you will find all the support you need to develop towards accreditation. There is always a motivated community of both members proving mentoring support and prospective members that can share their experiences along the way.
Training and organised CPDs
There’s always something new to learn or new skills to develop, in house and professionally arranged lectures, courses and workshops are made available by Bryden Wood to help everyone grow in their fields and achieve their potential.
Close collaboration of diverse disciplines
Bryden Wood has a broad range of talented people within its team from architects to data analysts, this means there is always a unique perspective to learn from. An appreciation and understanding of each discipline’s contribution, and close communication help us create a seamlessly integrated design team.
Opportunity to be involved in company initiatives
We are always growing and improving, with an open company organisation there are opportunities for anybody within the company to contribute and take control of aspects of Bryden Wood.
BIM has been intrinsic to our work even before it had a name. We were invited by the government to join the Core BIM Team in 2011 because of our pioneering use of automotive software to produce design detail across all disciplines.
Investment in technology
Being at the cutting edge of the industry means identifying the potential of emerging technologies, from full virtual reality capabilities to custom interactive experiences Bryden Wood are committed to staying ahead of the curve.
